At Codelab (54.024.643 Vinicius Gabriel Lima da Costa, CNPJ 54.024.643/0001-02) we want you to be fully satisfied with your learning experience. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for courses purchased through the Service.
2. 14-day satisfaction guarantee
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on any individual course purchase. If, within 14 calendar days of the date of purchase, you are not satisfied with your course, you may request a full refund. No justification is required.
3. Right of regret under Brazilian law
If you are a consumer domiciled in Brazil, you also have the right of regret ("direito de arrependimento") granted by Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Law 8.078/1990). You may cancel any purchase made outside a commercial establishment (which includes online purchases) within seven (7) calendar days of purchase and receive a full refund of any amount paid, including any costs already incurred, with monetary correction.
Our 14-day satisfaction guarantee exists independently of, and does not replace, the 7-day legal right of regret.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund, send an email to refunds@codelab.com with the following information:
- The email address used to place the order;
- The order or transaction ID;
- The name of the course;
- Date of purchase;
- (Optional) Reason for the refund. This helps us improve but is not required during the 14-day window or the 7-day legal window.

5. Refund processing and timing
Once your refund request is received and validated:
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days;
- Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days of approval;
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase;
- Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds may take additional time (typically up to 2 billing cycles) to appear on your statement.
If the original payment method is no longer available (e.g., closed account), we will work with you to arrange an alternative refund method such as PIX or bank transfer.
6. Exceptions and limitations
Refunds may be denied in the following situations:
- The request is made after the applicable window (14-day satisfaction guarantee or 7-day legal right of regret, whichever is later);
- Evidence of abuse of the refund system, such as a repeated pattern of purchase-and-refund across multiple accounts;
- Evidence that the course was fully completed and a certificate of completion was issued before the refund was requested (for purchases of individual completable courses);
- The purchase was a bundle, gift card, or custom enterprise license with specific terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
In case of suspected fraud, we reserve the right to decline the refund and, where appropriate, report the activity to the payment provider and the relevant authorities.
7. Subscription products
If you purchase a subscription, you may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not automatically refund previously billed subscription periods. Refund requests for billed subscription periods follow the same rules as individual course purchases (14-day satisfaction guarantee from the date of the specific charge).
8. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. In most cases we can resolve the issue quickly through a direct refund. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension and loss of access to purchased content.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was last revised. Changes apply only to purchases made after the effective date of the change; prior purchases remain governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
